C.J. Dorman: President and Owner
C.J. founded Dorman Builders Inc. in 1985 after working 5 years full time as a lead carpenter for a recognized design/build firm in Montgomery County. He worked actively in the field for the first 15 years as a carpenter and project manager. Presently, C.J.’s duties are mostly within the design and estimating efforts and managing the company overall as it grows. He remains “hands on” with all the activities in the office and in the field as well supervising the jobs. Describing himself as “taught by master craftsman” and always looking for “the better way to do something”, C.J. pours over monthly industry articles, regularly attends the remodeling trade shows, conferences and industry workshops throughout the year. He is one of the founding members of the areas Mid Maryland Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s (NARI).
Donna Dorman: Sales and Marketing
A graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Business and a Masters Degree in Sales and Marketing from Johns Hopkins University, Donna heads up all of our marketing efforts and company literature. With over 15 years experience in sales and marketing management, Donna brings a “client centric” approach to all marketing and sales efforts.

Joe
Sherrick: Project Consultant
Joe has over 27 years experience in the construction industry, including owning and operating his own home improvement business. Along with earning a Certified Remodeler designation from NARI, Joe is also proficient in custom cabinetry and has a true passion for helping clients realize their home improvement dreams through remodeling. Joe is well qualified to assist our clients with all details of their remodeling projects, from design concept through completion.
Project Mangers and Lead Carpenters
Each project is assigned a particular lead carpenter with experience to your specific job. The lead carpenter's role is to organize and oversee all stages of your project from start to finish. On a daily basis they head up the carpentry work and will be your point of contact. Other duties include scheduling, ordering materials and keeping the trade contractors on task.

Patrick joined the Dorman Builders team in 2005. Just 6 short months after starting with us as a carpenter, he was promoted to lead carpenter. He has over
10 years carpentry experience and is extremely client focused. He is reliable, enthusiastic, positive, and a proven provider of quality work and ethics.
Joshua Nail - Project Manager/Lead Carpenter
With 10 years experience in carpentry, Josh is meticulous in his work, supporting the lead carpenters with his diverse and varied knowledge base.
